His entire staff is equally wonderful! Everyone is friendly, professional, and so personable. The nurses and medical assistants actually remember my situations and follow up with me, which means a lot. They take time to chat, listen, and make every visit feel comfortable. They answer the phone, return calls, and make the whole process seamless from start to finish.

I love OccuMed Primary Care. It’s easy to get an appointment within 1-2 days, and they take walk-ins Monday through Friday, 9 am to 1 pm. Dr. Shyam Patel has been my doctor for 8 years. Dr. Patel’s office is one of the best Dr offices that I have been too, sad that I have to say I’ve been to several over the past couple years. But if he had not been so through about my blood work looking off a few times and being adamant about seeing a hematologist. I might not have known until too late that I have a form of leukemia, that was caught very early. This is a battle that I will have the rest of my life and I know that as long as I am battling this, I will have Dr. Patel and his staff to help battle it with me. So for that I am grateful!!
He has always been super helpful with any concerns and questions that I have and the staff are amazing! Always greeted when I walk in, and they have never been rude or unprofessional, not even when I have called to get a prescription refilled, they call you back and let you know when the doctor has sent it in.
If you’re looking for a great primary doctor and you are not too far away, I highly recommend him and the staff!! 😁😊

Not only is the doctor intelligent, he also talks to you like you’re a person- not rushed, he listens, he is non judgmental. This is the best doctor. Went today for a quick(!) visit after stepping on a nail yesterday. Super quick, friendly staff. They squeezed me into the schedule after initially not having anything available today because a tetanus shot needs to be given within 48 hrs of an injury & Monday would be “too late” for me. Even though they squeezed me in, I didn’t wait at all! Clean large offices. Doctor looked me in the eye, listened, and I see it as a huge plus that he didn’t prescribe antibiotics, but will if my injury gets worse over the next few days. I just hired him as my GP. How refreshing after having gone many times to the “other” clinic in town for same-day medical services. Totally different experience here. Night & day. Two thumbs up.
